During her residency in Città della Pieve, Nausicaa Giulia Bianchi chose to photograph the surrounding landscape while seeking a method to trace its transformations over time.

She used a large-format camera as an instrument of precision, focusing her attention on traces of human intervention. The project developed through a slow, methodical practice involving repeated

site visits, the recording of geographical coordinates, and the consultation of both historical and contemporary maps. As the work progressed, the observation of the landscape itself gradually required a broader perspective, extending to the phenomena that shape it: light, the changing seasons, and the movements of the sun and the moon.
